Getting Started
1. WAKE UP
As Woody Allen once said, "80% of success is showing up." With that in mind, I also believe that waking up with a positive attitude is 80% of what makes a workday successful, and the key to waking up with a positive attitude is actually WANTING to go to work. On an ideal workday, I would wake up EXCITED to go to work.
2. DRIVE TO WORK
I LOVE driving to work. That may sound crazy, but I don't like staying home all day. I like the quiet solitude that a morning commute provides.

3. GREET FELLOW EMPLOYEES
Ideally, the perfect workday involves people I LIKE and WANT to work with.

4. CHECK EMAIL
Every day one of the first things I do when I start working is check email. I can't imagine that will ever change. I get caught up on relevant issues and PLAN OUT what needs to be done for the day.
The Workday
5. DESIGN THINGS
Honestly, I love all things design. I like designing PRINT materials. I like designing WEBSITES. I like using my PHOTOGRAPHY in my designs. I also like shooting VIDEO, then designing graphics for the video. As long as I get to be creative and design things, I'm happy.
6. DESIGN MORE THINGS!
After a delicious lunch, I would ideally just keep on designing. I wouldn't mind throwing in a meeting or two, and maybe I could bounce ideas off of some fellow coworkers. I would also love to be CHALLENGED occasionally with something new I've never done before!
Wrapping Up
7. FINISH THE WORKDAY
There is nothing better than a job well done. At the end of the day, I want to be able to take PRIDE in the day's accomplishments. I want to feel like what I do matters.
8. DRIVE HOME

- I really don't like rush hour traffic.
- Ideally, there wouldn't be any!
- I do like to ROCK OUT in the car, though...

9. SPEND TIME WITH THE FAMILY
Even though I had the perfect workday, there is nothing better than coming home to my loving family. Meet my beautiful wife, Jenni. We also have two dogs, Murry and Maya, along with three cats, Jasper, Lily and Audrey. Together we are the Sturm family. On the perfect workday I would come home and tell them all about how AWESOME my day was.
Day's End
10. FALL ASLEEP NOT DREADING THE NEXT DAY
I want to fall asleep looking forward to the next day... and the day after... and the day after that. All I really want is a job I can be proud of and have fun doing.
